Join us on Monday nights at 7 p.m. in the Parish House starting September 19 and going through June.
What is the difference between prejudice, discrimination, and racism? What does systemic racism mean? Why are some people so upset about Critical Race Theory and what is that anyway? How can I make a difference to reduce racism in our community or our country? Aren’t we supposed to see everyone as one of God’s children?
If you are interested in these questions and would like to work with a supportive and encouraging group working through the discomfort that discussing race can bring, join us for a discussion group meeting weekly. Karen Buys and Bill Taylor will be starting the discussion using the book, So You Want to Talk About Race by Ijeoma Oluo.
The class will be hybrid - meaning we will be able to meet both in person and via Zoom, so whatever your comfort level at being around people is, you can join in. If you’d like to be a part of this, or if you have questions, please contact the church office.
